What's in the world

Companions come from Lost Scrolls II — free a corrupted Dvergr instead of killing it and it fights, works and levels at your side. Most of what follows is built on that.

The Lorekeepers

A branching quest and lore line through Haldor, Hildir and the Bog Witch — each keeper revealed by the Lords you fell, but found by your own exploring.

Bounty hunting

Take Haldor's commission and the Wanted Board opens (F8) — five tiers of hunted Dvergr, one posting at a time, marked on your map. Kill the quarry or free it as a companion; the bounty pays either way.

Tournaments

Seal a companion into a totem, enter from the tournament panel (F7), and the server runs the bracket — single elimination, double elimination or round robin. The last one standing goes in the Hall of Champions.

Dvergr duels

Non-lethal sparring between two players' companions. Both owners opt in, the loser is subdued rather than killed, and the winner takes bonus XP — there's no way to farm it solo.

Rankings

Every duel win feeds a persistent server-wide Elo ladder, one board for 1v1 and one for parties (F6). Your companion's rank rides on its name tag, and admins can archive a season and start everyone fresh.

Lords' powers and blessings

Seven boss-tier Lords, Meadows to Ashlands. Fell one and its Forsaken Power is yours — Rootward's grasping roots, Valkyrie's Rally restoring the whole party — while its trophy on a Lord's Pedestal draws a permanent Blessing.

Bring your own Viking. Local seed characters can join the server as the same character — you don't have to start over to play here.

Joining

The Hearthbound Valheim Modpack installs through Gale, and only Gale — the pack lives on Hexium.gg now, so r2modman and the Thunderstore app can no longer keep it up to date. Install Gale first, then open the profile link below: it clones the official profile, and Gale pulls every later update for you. There's no application and no whitelist — install and join. The server address and current version are pinned in Discord, which is also the fastest place to get help if something won't launch.

Supporting the server

Donations cover hosting and nothing else. They're entirely optional — playing here is free, and nothing you can buy makes you stronger than someone who never spends a cent. Supporters get Valcoins to spend in the in-game shop on cosmetics and weekly-limited consumables.

Donating starts in-game: press F4, open the Donate tab, and follow the steps. It hands you a personal code and a link to the donation portal.
